Gryper is an iPhone workout tracker for lifters built around three core features. First, it enables one-tap set logging with weight and reps pre-filled from your plan, alongside a rest timer that starts automatically. Second, it displays a living muscle heatmap that shows which muscles you worked during each session and across the week, graded against MEV (minimum effective volume), MAV (maximum adaptive volume), and MRV (maximum recoverable volume). Third, it tracks strength metrics including estimated one-rep max and session grades compared to your previous eight workouts. The app works fully offline, syncing to your account when you regain internet connectivity, and includes over 170 exercises mapped to 36 muscle groups. Users can export their data as CSV or JSON, import workouts from Hevy, and build custom workout splits that repeat across sessions.

Quick answers

What is Gryper?
Gryper is an iPhone workout tracker for lifters. You log every set in one tap; Gryper maps each set onto an anatomical muscle heatmap and grades your weekly volume for every muscle against MEV, MAV and MRV, so you can see whether you trained enough, hit the productive range, or pushed too far.
How does Gryper tell me if I trained enough?
Every set you log counts toward the muscles that exercise works. Gryper adds those sets up per muscle for the week and compares the total with three volume landmarks: MEV (minimum effective volume), MAV (maximum adaptive volume) and MRV (maximum recoverable volume). Below MEV means that muscle probably didn't get enough work; between MEV and MAV is the productive range; past MRV is more than most lifters can recover from.
Does Gryper work offline?
Yes. You can log a whole workout with no signal. Sets are stored on the phone and sync to your account when you are back online.
Is Gryper free?
Gryper is free to download on the App Store, and you can start logging without creating an account.
Can I export my workouts or move from Hevy?
Yes. You can export your full history as a spreadsheet CSV or a JSON archive, and you can import a CSV exported from Hevy to bring your past workouts into Gryper.
