Business Listing Info developer reference: API and MCP on file
Connect to Business Listing Info with your own code or with an AI assistant. Everything below works through both the REST API and the MCP server, under the same rules: search every launch, read leaderboards and founder stories, submit a product by its website address, edit your listing and get a checkout link for paid launches.
- MCP server
https://businesslistinginfo.com/mcp(Streamable HTTP)- REST API
https://businesslistinginfo.com/api/v1- OpenAPI 3.1
- https://businesslistinginfo.com/api/v1/openapi.json
- Sign-in
- OAuth 2.1 for apps, or a personal key from API keys
- Version
- 1.0.0 (changelog)
Connect your AI assistant
In Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any other MCP client, add https://businesslistinginfo.com/mcp as a custom connector or MCP server. Then ask, for example, “What launched this week in my category?”, “Find alternatives to my competitor” or “Launch my product https://example.com”. Reads work at once; the first change opens a browser in your app so you can connect your account. Step-by-step for each app.

House rules
- Ask list_products for prices. They match the pricing of Business Listing Info, are counted in US dollar cents, and leave VAT out.
- Card details never pass through the API. Payment takes place on a checkout page that the person opens and completes themselves.
- Your code cannot vote. The API and the MCP server leave voting to people on Business Listing Info, who are the only source of votes.
- Drafts written by the AI rest on evidence quoted from the product's own site, and a fact it cannot find stays blank and marked instead of being made up.
- We label the billboard and every sponsorship as a paid placement. Votes alone set the community rankings.
Questions
- Can I use Business Listing Info in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code?
- Yes. Add the MCP server URL as a custom connector or MCP server in your app. Reading works straight away; the first write opens a browser so you can connect your account.
- Is using it free?
- The API and MCP server are free to use within the published rate limits. Products you buy (for example a paid launch) are priced on the pricing page.
- Will the AI fabricate facts about my product?
- The draft is designed to avoid it. It quotes your own website for each value, leaves blank and marked whatever it cannot verify, and gives you every field to review and change before anything goes live.
- Is Business Listing Info available through an API?
- Yes. Use /api/v1 for the free REST API (OpenAPI) or /mcp for the remote MCP server. Reading public data needs no sign-in; managing your own listings needs your account, through OAuth or an API key.
- Can I let an AI assistant vote or pay?
- No. Votes come only from people on the site, and payments happen on a checkout page you open and pay yourself. The API returns the checkout link.
