Homepage of ChorePing

ChorePing is a chore rota application designed for shared houses where coordinating everyone's tasks is difficult. One person sets up the house name, adds flatmates and chores once, then shares a single group chat message. Each person taps their name to access their own chore schedule in any mobile browser, requiring no installation or account creation.

The app automatically rotates chores through the household and sends email reminders on the morning each person's turn comes up. If a chore isn't completed, it sends follow-up reminders the next day, three days later, one week later, and then stops. Anyone can mark a chore as done, and the system tracks who actually completed each task to show contributions over time.

Features include a pass option for when someone is away (moving their turn to the next person), a covering system that records when one person does another's chore, and integration with phone calendars. Houses of up to four people use ChorePing free; larger houses pay $15 per year (paid by one person), and the service can be cancelled anytime to revert to the free plan.

Quick answers

Do my flatmates have to download anything?
No. There is no app and no account. Each flatmate taps their name in the group chat link and accesses their chores in any phone browser.
How do people get reminded?
ChorePing emails each person on the morning it's their turn. If the chore is not done, it sends follow-up reminders the next day, three days later, one week later, and then stops. People can also add their turns to their phone calendar with one tap.
What if someone's away or covers for someone?
If someone is away, press Pass to move the turn to the next person. If someone covers for another person, they tick it off as themselves and the system records it as covering so contributions even out.
How much does ChorePing cost?
Houses of up to 4 people use ChorePing free. Bigger houses pay $15 a year, with one person paying for the entire household. You can cancel anytime from the setup page and revert to the free plan.
What if someone never opens it?
The reminders still reach them, and the rota still works for everyone else. Anyone can tick a chore off, and the tally shows who actually did it.
