About Ecommerce & Retail

This category gathers business profiles for anyone who sells goods: online stores, the platforms that power them, suppliers, marketplaces and physical shops. Each profile works as a fact box. You see what the business sells, how to reach it, where it is active on social media and how long it has been trading, all in one place.

Use the page to check a seller before you buy from them, find a supplier to work with, or compare the platforms behind a shop. Filters narrow the list by subcategory, and the page covers every product and business in the subcategories below. Listings appear newest first by default, and you can sort by community votes instead. Votes can never be bought.

Founders who sell products can add a profile through /submit. Every listing sits in one main category, and an owner who submits checks and edits the profile before it goes live.

Ecommerce & Retail: questions answered

What kind of business belongs in Ecommerce & Retail?
Any business whose main activity is selling physical or digital goods to customers or to other sellers. That covers online shops, ecommerce platforms, supplier businesses, marketplaces and shops with a physical premises. If selling is not the core activity, a different category will suit better.
How do I choose between the subcategories?
Pick the one that describes how you earn your money. A business that sells its own stock online goes under online stores. One that supplies other sellers goes under dropshipping and suppliers. A shop with a till and a door belongs under retail shops.
How do I get my business listed here?
Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from your site, then you check and edit every field before anything goes live. You choose one main category at that point, and it is included free.
Can a retailer appear in more than one category?
Yes. Every listing has one main category, included free. A paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories for $5, which suits a business that is both a shop and a marketplace seller, for example.
What should I check when comparing sellers or suppliers?
Look at the contact details, the social profiles and the company history on each profile. Confirm that the business has a way to reach it and has been active. For suppliers, also check what they actually stock and how they describe their terms.
