Following keeps you informed
Every listing and every founder page displays a Follow button. When you follow, that listing's company or that founder's activity reaches you directly—milestones, new products, demo videos, launches, founder stories, status changes, and Launch of the Week wins. You no longer need to revisit the page to check for news.
Following costs nothing. You only need a free account on Business Listing Info.
How to start following
Locate the Follow button on the listing or founder page. If you're already signed in, press it and you follow at once; the button changes to Following. If you're not signed in, the button takes you to sign in or create an account, then returns you to confirm.
What you'll receive
Followers of a listing get notices about new milestones, updates, products from that company, status changes (acquisition, closure), new founder stories, demo videos, the company launching on other sites (one notice per day maximum), and Launch of the Week awards. Followers of a founder get their new founder stories.
Each update arrives in your account and as an email. By default they come in a single daily summary. You can change this at /account/notifications to instant, weekly, or off. You can also add Telegram or Slack there.
How to stop
Press the Following button on the listing or founder page and you stop at once. No further updates will arrive. Alternatively, turn emails off at /account/notifications while staying a follower.
Questions people ask
- Does following count as a vote?
- No. Following never affects a listing's community votes, vote rankings or Product of the Week. Followers do count towards the most followed list at /launches/most-followed.
- Do listing owners know who follows them?
- They're told that someone started following, but never who. The follower count may appear on the listing.
- What if I'm not signed in?
- Press Follow and you'll be taken to sign in or create a free account. You'll then return to the page to confirm.
