Get renovation work estimates in 3 minutes from your photos
Web application that provides detailed renovation cost estimates from photos, with separate prices for contractor and DIY work, adjusted by department.
About

RénoScan is a SaaS application for homeowners and real estate professionals that generates detailed renovation cost estimates from photographs. Users upload photos of their property, and the platform's analysis engine identifies the condition and nature of each element—plumbing, electrical, flooring, walls, kitchens, bathrooms—then returns an itemized estimate with separate price ranges for professional installation and DIY materials, adjusted to the user's department. Estimates include both a global budget and detailed line-item breakdown by trade, downloadable as PDF, with an accuracy range of ±15-25%. The platform serves buyers evaluating renovation costs before purchase, landlords planning refurbishment, those with damage claims, and real estate professionals.

Quick answers
- Is the RénoScan estimate as precise as a real contractor quote?
- No. RénoScan provides a reliable price range calibrated to average rates in your department to help you before consulting contractors. It is not a substitute for a professional quote signed by a contractor. RénoScan estimates accuracy is ±15-25%. You then compare this range to the quotes you receive from contractors.
- What if my property is unusual, old, or historic?
- The engine works on most standard properties (apartments, single-family homes, built 1900-2026). For historic monuments, atypical houses with rare materials, or constrained renovations (heritage listed, complex co-ownership), an estimate is still useful as a first range but will have a wider margin. A local contractor is essential in those cases.
- Can I modify the estimate after receiving it?
- Yes, from the Essentiel plan onwards. On the results page, you can uncheck work items you won't do, adjust quantities, change material variants (e.g., laminate vs solid parquet), and totals update automatically. The free plan gives access to overall pricing but not detailed customization.
- Can I use the PDF for an insurance or loan claim?
- Yes, as an indicative document. The PDF is structured item-by-item with contractor and DIY price ranges, sorted by trade. It is usable to support a home renovation loan application or insurance damage claim—but does not replace a professional quote signed by a contractor, which remains the official document required by your bank or insurer.
- How does the free plan work?
- You create an account without a credit card and can run up to 2 estimates per year. There is no limited trial period—it is an annual quota that renews on your account anniversary. Sufficient to discover the product on a real project. For more, you upgrade to Essentiel (3/month), Starter (8/month), or Pro (15/month).
