No. You provide your pet's details through PawAlarm and if you choose paid advertising, PawAlarm sets up the ads for you. People can submit sightings through the public search page without needing to log into Facebook.

Does it work in my area – even a small village?

Yes. You can set the radius from 1 km upwards, so even in rural areas the alert reaches nearby people. For very sparsely populated regions a slightly larger radius is recommended to reach all helpful neighbours.
