Page Builder Sandwich is a page builder for WordPress. Rather than shortcodes or a private format, it stores plain WordPress blocks, so WordPress, your theme and your SEO plugin can keep reading your pages whatever you add later. You can work in the standard block editor, or in Sandwich Studio, a full-screen visual editor with a layers panel, undo history, a command palette and keyboard shortcuts.
A page loads only the styles for the blocks it uses, taken from your own uploads folder, with neutral class names and no generator tags. When measured on one test page, it added +0.5 kB and sent 0 requests to servers of other companies. As you build, a free accessibility checker points out missing alternative text and poor colour contrast.
The free plugin offers 44 blocks and 20 website kits. Pro gives you 68 more blocks and 8 more kits, plus a form builder, popups, A/B tests, a theme builder, a design system, a WooCommerce store builder and imports from Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, WPBakery and Figma. AI agents such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor can create pages via its MCP server, which has 150 tools.
