Family caregiver app for aging parents: medications, appointments, and fall alerts
Elderoak helps families coordinate care for aging loved ones by managing medications, appointments, and emergency alerts without surveillance.
About

Elderoak is a family care coordination app designed to help siblings, spouses, and trusted helpers manage medications, appointments, and wellness checks for aging relatives. The app sends automatic reminders for doses, tracks refills, shares doctor-visit recordings with the family, and provides an emergency SOS button with Apple Watch fall detection.
Each family member sees a customized view: caregivers get a dashboard showing all medications and appointments; the person being cared for sees a simplified interface with large buttons and one-tap access to help; paid helpers see just today's shift and handoff notes. The app works on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Android, with all data synced across devices.
Eldoroak is not a medical device or emergency service—it supplements, not replaces, calling 911. Notifications are best-effort, and health decisions remain the family's responsibility.

Quick answers
- Is Elderoak HIPAA-compliant?
- Elderoak is a consumer app, not a Covered Entity or Business Associate under HIPAA. Health information you share with your family inside Elderoak is shared by your family, not by a healthcare provider, so it is not PHI. If you are a clinician handling patient records, you need a HIPAA-compliant EMR with a Business Associate Agreement instead.
- What data leaves my phone?
- Only the minimum needed to sync the family group: scheduled medications, appointments, voice-note transcripts, and SOS events. Audio recordings of doctor visits are encrypted and shared only within your family group. Elderoak does not sell data, run ads, or train models on your uploads.
- Is the SOS button a replacement for 911?
- No. The SOS button notifies your family group only—it does not call 911 or emergency dispatch. For a medical emergency, call 911 directly first, then use SOS to alert your family. SOS is a supplement to emergency services, not a replacement.
- What happens if I cancel my Pro subscription?
- The free tier (one caregiver and one cared-for) keeps working forever. If you cancel Pro, you keep access to existing data through the end of your billing period, then the app drops back to free features. Extra caregivers lose access to real-time updates, but the original pair's account keeps working. Nothing is deleted unless you delete it yourself.
- Can Android users join the same family as iPhone users?
- Yes. Android users install Elderoak from Google Play and join the same family: doses, appointments, SOS, and alerts reach everyone on both iPhone and Android. Fall detection requires an Apple Watch—there is no Wear OS app yet. Anyone without the app can use the web dashboard at elderoak.app.
