How does the Product review work?
The Product review is a paid long-form assessment of your product, written from your public pages and published on its own page at /launch/<listing>/product-review.

What you are paying for
The Product review costs $19. It is a commissioned assessment: you pay for it, but you do not write it or alter it after publication.
Once you have paid, we visit your home page, about page, pricing page, features page, FAQ, docs and your listing itself. We read only what is there. If something a prospective customer ought to know is not written on your pages, the review states that plainly. The review is truthful, not promotional: it sets out both what works and what does not.
How it is structured
Your review includes:

- Who it is best for
- A point-by-point check: what the product does, who it serves, cost, first steps, safety and company details
- Questions a prospect may raise
- A conclusion
- Sources used
It carries no star score.
Where your review appears
The full review lives at /launch/<listing>/product-review. On your listing page itself, a short excerpt appears in a block marked 'Commissioned by the maker', with a link to the complete text. The listing's reviews section shows its summary and key takeaways. Community reviews from other founders are kept separate and are shown elsewhere.
What the review does not affect
The Product review does not enter the vote count, affect your score or change rankings. Leaderboard position comes from votes cast by visitors (and, on the billboard, from money contributed)—never from any review. Your review is an information piece, not a ranking tool.
If your site is temporarily inaccessible
If we cannot read your website (it is down, blocks access or does not respond), we do not publish a thin review. We retry several times. If the site remains unreachable, our team decides what to do instead of publishing incomplete work. If they write the review from your listing alone, they note that on the page.

- When will my Product review be published?
- After payment, we read your website and write the review. It is published as soon as it is ready. If your website cannot be accessed, the review is held for our team to look at.
- Can I request changes to my Product review after it goes live?
- No. You do not write the review and cannot edit it. The review is written from your public pages and your listing only.
- How do I order the Product review?
- Sign in, go to /account/listings, find your listing, select 'Upgrades and extras' and press 'Order the Product review'. You can also add it when you choose a paid launch. Check /pricing for the current cost.
