What does the domain age checker show?

The free domain age checker reveals registration details from public records, updated weekly on each listing's Domain info box.

Updated

Check any domain, free

Visit /domain-age-checker with no account needed. Enter any domain—a registered domain name, a subdomain, or a full web address. The checker returns the company's public registration record: how long the domain has been registered (in years, months and days), when it was first registered, when it expires, when the registry last updated the record, which registrar holds it, whether DNSSEC signing is active, and which nameservers it uses.

On file in each listing

Every business profile shows a Domain info box in its metrics section. This displays the same registration facts for that company's domain: age, registration date, expiry date, registrar and DNSSEC status. A link opens the full record in the domain age checker. The record refreshes roughly once each week.

Source and limitations

All data comes from the registry's public RDAP record—the current standard for domain registration data (RDAP succeeded WHOIS). The checker shows when it last read the record. Some registries, particularly country-code registries, do not publish RDAP data publicly; in these cases, nothing appears and the page says so. If a registry fails to respond, wait a few minutes and try again.

What age means on Business Listing Info

Domain age counts only from its current registration period. If a domain expired and someone registered it again, the age clock resets to that new registration date. Domain age does not affect the order in which listings appear on this site.
